You can assign one player as franchise player and their salary isn't added to your cap.

You can assign one player as franchise player and their salary isn't added to your cap. Wouldn't that kind of compound the salary issues though? Kane and Toews make 1.2/1.5, if I was Pittsburgh I'd franchise Crosby, and have three of the leagues top forwards for 2.7 Mil. Even if you lower the cap, guys are getting deals on salaries as it is with the signing bonuses.

Exactly. I would definitely do that. Then i'd be worried about not hitting the cap floor. I think most people went into the game knowing the quirks so why mess with it now?

I think people need to realize that playing with any of the cap is completely unneeded. I've made my team and followed the cap and made my team around that cap.. I've worked harder sticking under cap then anything else and messing with the contracts are going to make it easier or harder.. Who ares if Toews and Kane are 1.5? They aren't going to be that way for long.. I think if the contracts are going lower, big deal, make the cap go lower. Play with the cap, not the salaries.

I'll start a new thread, reiterate the ideas brought up here, and have everyone reply with the ideas they would like to see implemented, if any at all, then kind of tally it up. Just without discussion so we know who wants what. Then we can see what to do from there I guess.

Yoyr choice, I don't want this even I lost for trapline team, could lose also if he played differently, but If GM has time to check which tactis are working there should be a trophy for that. But I always like when things are done like just EHM does and I dont have much supportres

BTW if there are tactics which can only used with 3rd and 4th lines, should there be some rules also for ice times? Now you can set icetimes like 10-20-80-80 if you want...

If you ask me -no new rule. Even Im usually using by 60-50-40-30 pass-d&c-h&g-nzt, I supprto that people who wants use trap they should get chance and no restrictions to any ice times. Normally in Europe away team plays like that. 3rd/4th line tries eliminate hometeam's guns etc.

For example, Atlanta's top line will out play most, if not all, top lines if you try and go toe to toe with offense. And people say it's some kind of super tatic, it's not that super. My team finished 3rd in the league and I used 2 NZT's and a H&G but I lost to the 4th place team.
