The Calder Cup Champions Toronto Marlies were celebrated in their hometown with grand festivities today. The Calder Cup was driven through the town in a parade and the fans were chanting the team's name every time captain Frédérick Roy lifted the Cup above his head.
The mayor of the town greeted the players on a stage with the media surrounding them as masses of loyal Toronto Marlies fans chanted the names of Nathan MacKinnon and Matthew Hackett.
It's one hell of a feeling, something I'd like to feel again next year, said Frédérick Roy.
