2009-2010 Nominees:
1. Johan Franzén, Detroit Red Wings 82gp 56g 48a 104pts 52pim 28 The mule clearly had a unbelieveable season. Known for his stellar post-season play, Johan Franzén finally put that into the regular season. The leagues only 50 goalscorer put up 56 this year, beating 2nd place by 7. His 104 points nearly doubled his previous career high and landed him the runner up for the Art Ross. Three hat-tricks this year and an all-star appearance surely topped the incredible year for the Swede.
2. Daniel Sedin, Vancouver Canucks 82gp 45g 63a 108pts 66pim 17 There seems to be trends in this years awards. Whether is be the same team or same nation, there is total dominance in each category. Daniel Sedin, the 2nd Swede up for the Hart and 2nd Canucks aswell, led the RHL in scoring this season. He smashed his career totals in every aspect, highlighted by a 15 game point-streak. His 108 points beat out Johan Franzén's 104. He also was named to the All-Star game.
3. Martin St. Louis, Vancouver Canucks 83gp 42g 58a 100pts 34pim 32 Perhaps the best move for both Martin St. Louis and Daniel Sedin was when St. Louis came over from the Tampa Bay Lightning. After the trade, the trio of Sedin's and St. Louis never looked back. His 100 points were good for a 3rd place finish in the scoring race, while helping line-mate Daniel win the scoring title. Two award nominations for St. Louis is definatly one of his career years, after his Art Ross season.
