2009-2010 Nominees:
1. Milan Lucic, Boston Bruins 82gp 30g 44a 74pts 98pim 26 The first of the Boston Milan's is Milan Lucic. This 6'3, 228 lbs monster powerforward was 2nd in the league in forward hits, 1 behind Jarome Iginla, tied 1st in forward takeaways, while still putting up an impressive 74 points. His totals this year also smashed his career bests. He also had a 12 game point streak during the year.
2. David Backes, Chicago Blackhawks 79gp 30g 31a 61pts 97pim 33 After coming over from St. Louis earlier in the year, David Backes fit right in with the Chicago Blackhawk philosophy; rough and tough. The 6'3 centerman tied Milan Lucic for takeaways, had 190 hits, and 31 blocked shots. He beat his totals in points, and assists. He rarely took a night off and was one of Chicago's key components in a Presidents' Trophy season.
3. Milan Michalek, Boston Bruins 82gp 30g 50a 80pts 26pim 28 After coming over before the season started from Ottawa, Milan Michalek has been nothing but spectacular for the Boston Bruins. Brought in for his dependable defense, he opened alot of eyes with his 80 points and only 26 penalty minutes. His 160 takeaways were good for 4th among forwards, 3 of which are his teammates. Not to mention his 185 hits were 6th among forwards aswell. He posted career bests in every total aswell.
